Welcome to my Bluebell Sessions Information Page

Thank you for choosing me to capture your bluebell photos. I am looking forward to meeting you and your family and creating your beautiful photos. Please take a moment to read through the information on this page so you can be as prepared as possible for your session. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Location

My Bluebell Sessions are held at Micheldever Woods, just north of Winchester and south of Basingstoke. The location in the woods is a 10 minute walk from the carpark through a gate and along a path. Confirmation of location information will be emailed out just prior to your session.

From the car park, turn left as you enter the woods or walk through the picnic area. At the end of the picnic area you will see a gate along the road. Go through the gate and walk along the road back in the direction you just drove (towards the M3 bridge) about 15 meters. Please take care of children as there is no pavement. You will come to a gate on the opposite side of the road. Cross the road and duck under the gate. Continue straight along the gravel path about 200 meters. you will come to some log stacks. Our location will be just to the right.

Session

My bluebell sessions are thirty minutes long and I will aim to capture various different images for you during that time. This usually involves a mix of posed and candid shots so your little ones can feel free to move around and interact as needed.

As bluebells are a protected species it is important at all times during the session that we stick to paths and clearings and do not damage the bluebells. Dogs should be kept on a lead.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

Your session includes ten digital images. These can be chosen from an on-line gallery which will be sent out following your shoot. Option to purchase additional 5 digital images (£25) or all digital images (£50)
You can also order photo products such as prints or framed prints.

What if it rains or we are unwell?

I will keep up to date with the weather forecast prior to the session. If the weather conditions are not suitable then we can reschedule to the following weekend.

If you are unwell you can contact me and again we can reschedule.

How should we dress?

It is important you feel comfortable and your clothing reflects you. Loose clothing works better than tight fitting clothing. Think little girls twirling around in a flowing dress.
It looks nice if families are coordinated but you don't need to be matching. It is best to avoid wearing very bright colours, and tops with bold patterns, lettering or pictures on the front as this can be very distracting in photos. Neutral and lighter colours work best like creams, beige, light brown etc.

What if we're not used to posing in front of the camera?

My aim is to give you an enjoyable and relaxed session and capture natural and candid photos. Children especially may be reluctant to sit still and look at a camera so don't worry if they prefer to stay active. We can use ways to get their attention. Enjoy having some quality time together, chat to your children and leave the rest to me!

Kind Words

I can highly recommend Rebecca, we were so happy with our bluebell session! Absolutely stunning photos, very knowledgeable with tips on choosing clothing to complement the scenery and super understanding about how little ones can be in these scenarios! Thank you so much.
